What You’ll Do:
- Convert electrical schematics into physical, build-ready layouts
- Design and develop:
- Enclosures
- Component placement
- Panel layouts for VFDs, MCCs, and switchgear
- Create detailed:
- Assembly instructions
- Work instructions
- Shop-ready documentation
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and efficient
- Conduct testing and validation to confirm performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues during design, build, and implementation
- Collaborate closely with production to ensure smooth execution
- Work with suppliers and vendors on component selection
- Maintain accurate documentation, including drawings and BOMs
- Support continuous improvement of design standards and processes
What Success Looks Like Within the first 12–24 months:
- Designs are consistently clear, complete, and build-ready
- Improved alignment between engineering and production
- Reduced rework, errors, and inefficiencies on the shop floor
- More standardized and repeatable design approaches
